This small hill station of overtone of greenery is an ideal camping center during summer in Kerala. A moderately cool climate with a temperature between 10 and 23 °C chills you in this fringe of Western Ghats, Vagamon. This Scotland of Asia is situated in the Kottayam-Idukki border of Idukki district in Kerala. The narrow rocky terrain road that starts from the foothills of Vagamon bedecked with pine forests showers a mesmeric, bewitching journey in the deep wilderness.

Vagamon is famous for its green hillocks or knolls rolling over vast hilly terrain. You can climb and reach the summit of one hillock from where others can be spotted. It is a unique and cool sight for the eyes to behold. Trekking through these green meadows may take you to some placid lakes, ravines and rivulets. The hillocks get clad with fogs during winter that looks like a lace fringing the evergreen, velvet skirts of nature.

Several villas and cottages built in the jungles provide accommodation in Vagamon. Jeep safari, cycling and trekking, boating all entertain the tourists in the forests. Vagamon is the perfect blooming buzz of a large variety of flowers also.
