The craft of making a name plate

I had mentioned about the summer workshop of art & crafts that my kid attended in one of my posts. The second item crafted in the workshop was a Name Plate. A name plate can be designed using crafty materials of any kind. Here, the teacher used a rigid, thick cardboard as the base for the design. It is as strong as to be mounted on a wall for display.

The cardboard got painted using red colored acrylic and the name of kid’s father was sketched using golden glue. The teacher had several tools to craft attractive decorative materials and she came up with smaller paper flowers within seconds to decorate the Name Plate. With double-sided tape, the kid mounted the Name Plate beside our home to welcome his father from his office.
